Beta-amyloid (Aβ or Abeta) are peptides of 36–43 amino acids. They are derived from the amyloid precursor protein (APP) by beta secretase and
gamma secretase in human brain. Beta-amyloid 1-42 and Beta-amyloid 1-
40 are related to Alzheimer's disease (AD). |
