The rapid and accurate detection of fungal pathogens is of utmost importance in the fields of healthcare, food safety, and environmental monitoring. In this study, we implemented a cascaded amplifying circuit in Saccharomyces cerevisiae to improve the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) mediated fungal detection. The GPCR signaling pathway was coupled with the galactose-regulated (GAL) system and a positive feedback loop was implemented to enhance the performance of yeast biosensor.
