Figure 1. LCA-induced concentration-dependent stimulation of intracellular cAMP accumulation in CHO-K1/GPBAR1 cells. The intracellular cAMP change was measured by Varioskan. The ratio of the luminescence signal were plotted against the log of the cumulative doses of LCA (Mean ± SD, n = 2). The EC50 of LCA on this cell was 6.06 μM.

CHO-K1/GPBAR1 Stable Cell Line
The gene GPBRA1 encodes G protein-coupled bile acid receptor. Bile acid-binding induces its internalization, activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase and intracellular cAMP production.
